Fiber-glass posts - translucent - carbon

Bioloren®’s fiber posts are suitable for proper reconstruction of endodontically treated (devitalized) teeth. Fiber posts represent the most current alternative to metal posts, made with a special fiberglass and resin matrix. The fibers are aligned along the main axis.

Bioloren®’s posts have the highest density of fibers(> 73%) which confer high reliability even in the smallest diameters. Micro-roughness increases the contact surface by about 40%.

Bioloren® produces the widest range of posts: cylindrical, conical, cylinder-conical and special ones with the widest choice of materials: glass fibers, translucent fibers and carbon fibers. All posts are radiopaque.

In order to avoid fractures at the root, the ideal is to have a module of elasticity similar to that of dentine (18.6 GPa).
Bioloren®, with the Polytechnic of Milan Department of Aerospace Engineering, studied fiber posts, with an elasticity module (Young module) that under normal conditions of use with the occlusive forces at 20 – 30 degrees, varies from 18 to 21 GPa, thus eliminating the fracture risk of root fracture compared to a metal post.

Key elements for a successful endodontic reconstruction

In addition to the posts, calibrated drills and adhesion systems also contribute in a fundamental way to the excellent success of an endodontic reconstruction.
The calibrated drills have a profile corresponding to that of the posts, they do not work at the tip but the cut is performed on the long side of the same drills.
The Bioloren drills allow the immediate pairing with the corresponding post by a color code in the conic drills and reference notches in the cylindrical ones.

Endocanal post cements must have well-defined characteristics: be dual, hydrophilic and fluid. These features allow for better cementing of the post, as, after the curing phase with the lamp, the hardening of the cement continues with the “self-curing” process.
The cement must be fluid in order to completely wet both the post and the dental surface.
It is preferable to use a cement that releases fluoride, which is radio-opaque, and of A2 color.
For cementing fiber posts, Bioloren recommends using the adhesive system consisting of URC, universal resinous cement in automix syringe, and AD MONO (6 ml photopolymerable single-component adhesive), and possibly also ad+ACTIVATOR 3 ml to make it dual.
